HELP FOR STRAYS OR ABANDONED CATS

If you have found a lost, stray or an abandoned cat(s) then please be prepared to do the following:

• Report the situation to the Canterbury SPCA ph 349-7057 office hours and ask for their help. Emergency after hours ph 366-3886.

• Or deliver the cat to the SPCA's shelter in Wilmers Rd, Sockburn. They are obliged under the Animal Welfare Act to accept responsibility and are not at liberty to turn any lost, stray or abandoned cat away once delivered to their shelter.

• Or you may wish to ask one of the voluntary rescue groups to help.
